Researchers at the University of Washington working on a contact lens with which it will be possible to watch videos. They make an LED screen semi-transparent and flexible electronic circuits to be integrated into the lenses. This screen can display HD and will be controlled by wireless technology. So far, researchers have been able to create that blue and red pixels. It’s missing the green for coding RGB and therefore, color images. When off the screen, the lens becomes completely transparent. This project began several years ago. A first prototype was tested on rabbit eyes for 20 minutes. The rodent has shown no sign of disturbance. At that time, the big issue concerned the source of energy. It is finally resolved by sending radio waves of electricity to a resonant antenna, also in the lens.
