Brain Driver: driving by thought experimental phase

Although research on autonomous cars continue to move forward, other researchers went further by looking at the possibility of driving by thought.

Driving a car with the thought, this is the holy grail of researchers Freie University Berlin. They have designed a computer program called Brain Driver for the lead at the end of their quest. With Brain Driver, they have been able to move virtual objects on a computer with thought. To detect the commands of the brain, they used a helmet review electroencephalographic (EEG) sensors and wrapped retouched. Initially, this helmet was manufactured by Emotiv, an American company, to control video games with thought. That was before researchers are not interested in Berlin for their ambitious project. After the tests on computer, they have begun to test their helmets with a car. The vehicle is equipped with cameras and radar to provide a 360 degree view

The first tests are very promising although Brain Driver is still far from completely reliable.
