Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) has officially presented the new version of wireless Bluetooth , the Bluetooth 3.0 High Speed, recently.
In Bluetooth 3.0, Data transmission is done through the use of protocol 802.11 (WiFi) for up to 24 Mbps theoratically, which means users can share files of great weight, or even move from one device to another hundreds of files without left waiting for hours. Previous version, i.e. Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR can transmit only 3 Mbps.
According to wikipedia Bluetooth SIG consists of more than 13,000 companies in the fields of telecommunication, computing, networking, as well as consumer electronics.
It is hoped that within one year, we finally find modules compatible with this new connection (Bluetooth 3.0 + HS) in the market.
