The first tablet Honeycomb hosted by Google is available in the country, announces Motorola, on the virtual shelves of websites from Future Shop and Best Buy. It goes on sale in stores everywhere Friday, April 8, at a cost of $ 600.
Until now, several websites specializing in technology consider the tablet Xoom Motorola as a serious competitor to Apple iPad. This unit is multitasking with a dual heart NVIDIA Tegra 2 1 GHz, an HDMI port to display the content on larger screens, two cameras (2 and 5-megapixel) and a 10.1 inch HD screen with a resolution of 1280x800p.
Several of Google Mobile services are offered: Maps 5.0 packed its interactive 3D, Gmail, Gtalk through videoconferencing and access to applications from the Android Market. The Xoom also provides support for the beta version of Adobe Flash Player 10.2. Its autonomy is seductive: it would allow up to 10 hours of video playback and can be recharged almost two times faster than other tablets on the market, Motorola claims in a statement.
Several accessories can accompany the Tablet Xoom, such as a base (to play videos and listen to music while charging – $ 50), a speaker stand ($ 130) or a Bluetooth wireless keyboard ($ 70 ).
Having visited the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this year we have seen the enthusiasm for the Tablet Xoom. Moreover, the tablet Motorola has discerned the prize for best design and innovation at this techno event occurred in early January.
