Toshiba has officially announced the release date of its first tablet Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The device will be available from June – although, for the moment, it seems that this will happen only in Japan.
The tablet, called Toshiba AT300 has been included in the products of the Regza family , which means it will be released through NTT DoCoMo (the largest mobile operator in Japan).
The new Tablet Honeycomb – which may or may not be better than Apple’s iPAD – has a 10.1-inch screen with 1280 x 800 pixels, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI, rear camera of 5 MP, 2 MP front camera, 1 GB RAM, dual core processor Nvidia Tegra 2, and a 16 GB memory on board.
In Japan, Toshiba tablet will cost about 60,000 yen (725 dollars to change). Akihabara News has a video of the event to launch the AT300 (say the pill has a 3D display, but the official specs do not confirmed).
