VW Golf Plus successor as the near-series concept at the IAA
Volkswagen presented at the IAA in Frankfurt, the world premiere of the new study designed golf Sports van. The compact MPV will move into the middle of next year the VW dealer showrooms.
The new VW Golf Sportsvan trumps including a spacious and versatile interior. The rear seat can be moved longitudinally by 180 mm, the boot capacity is 1,500 liters and most modern assistance systems. Even the basic version of the new Golf 7 version comes with standard features such as differential lock XDS+, multi collision brake, air conditioning, seven airbags, the new electronic parking brake, a 5-inch touchscreen, variable load floor and a tonneau cover.
Modern assistance systems in the VW Golf Sportsvan
VW Golf bring a blind spot sensor with parking assistant for the first time. It cautions while driving vehicles in the blind spot. Backwards off the platform, the system also covers the side behind the golf Sportsvan approaching and so the driver often difficult discerning motorists and warns those. Whenever there is a threat of collision, the modern assistance systems of the VW Van automatically performs emergency braking.
Golf Plus replacing up to 19 percent more economical
The six new engines for the Golf Sportsvan provide 63 kW/85 PS to 110 kW/150 hp. They are equipped as standard with a start-stop system and consume up to 19 percent less than the detached predecessors Golf Plus. All engines available at market launch also meet the Euro 6 emissions standard. Especially economical is the Sportsvan Golf 1.6 TDI BlueMotion with 110 HP is expected to make with 3.7 l/100 km and therefore emit 95 g CO2/km – the best value in the range of compact vans.
