Among the new devices expected from Samsung next year, three new foldable devices can also be expected . According to UBI Research, in fact, the Korean company is preparing three types of foldable OLED panels for three flexible smartphone models, namely Galaxy Z Flip 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Fold Lite.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2 will reportedly feature a 6.7-inch display and a 3-inch external screen . According to what is written in the report, the main display will have the same size as the one used on the first Galaxy Z Flip, while the external display is larger.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 is equipped with a 7-inch internal screen and a smaller 4-inch external display . Galaxy Z Fold Lite will instead represent a more affordable proposal than Fold 3, maintaining the same dimensions for the displays.
The report also adds that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will offer support for the S-Pen and will be equipped with an in-display front camera . The LTPO ( Low-temperature polycrystalline oxide ) type display will also help reduce energy consumption and consequently increase autonomy.
All three flexible devices will be equipped with ultra-thin flexible glass.
Several other recent reports have also stated that Samsung is ditching the Galaxy Note line in favor of more flexible devices to market in the year ahead. That said, however, no one can predict what precisely the company will ultimately decide to do in 2021. While the house is currently planning to launch three foldable phones, it could very well change strategy based on market conditions.
